Abiquiu - Afternoon Saturday, September 29

Pamela Smith launched her MarbleSmith Paper efforts over 40 years ago, in tandem with her work as director of the Press of the Palace of the Governors, the Museum of New Mexico's premier small press program and working exhibition in Santa Fe. A one-time book designer/letterpress printer, today she continues to produce marbled papers in her Abiquiu, NewMexico, studio and to teach the process in learning centers throughout the country. Her MarbleSmith work reflects a dedication to creating unique patterns, textures, and color combinations for book artists and conservationists both in this country and abroad.

Visit the Allan Houser Sculpture Gardens, indoor gallery, and archives.

Located 20 miles south of Santa Fe off NM Highway 14 (26 Haozous Road, Santa Fe NM 87504), the site is 30-40 minutes from downtown Santa Fe and 2 hours from Ghost Ranch. The Curator of Collections will also guide a tour of the Allan Houser archives with holdings that include works on paper, bound sketchbooks, small sculptures and maquettes, and Native American artifacts.
